Dr. Shama Saqi, M.D.
I am a psychiatrist with a global perspective, having lived across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe before settling in the U.S. These experiences have shaped my open-minded and culturally sensitive approach to care. As a mother of two elementary-aged children, I also understand the real-life pressures of modern childhood and parenting. Compassionate, personalized care — creating a safe space for every thought. I am licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York State.
I see patients for medication management from age 5 through adulthood, taking an individualized approach that emphasizes collaboration. I work closely with families and therapists to provide coordinated care, and I am deeply committed to building long-term, supportive relationships with my patients and their families to help them achieve the best possible outcomes.
In addition to my private practice, I am on staff at White Plains Hospital and served as Clinic Medical Director at St. Vincent’s Clinic for over seven years. My expertise includes ADHD, depression, anxiety, mental health in individuals with medical illness, and cross-cultural psychiatry. My clinical experience also includes several years working with college students at Manhattanville College Counseling Center, as well as extensive work with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
